Importing your blog to Facebook

You have blog and want it to appear in Facebook.

Facebook has a default application that is called "notes". Notes is used as a means to write longer text. A note is essentially a blog post.

And fortunately this can be automated. So you can have a blog that is open to everyone and link it to your Facebook account so that will automatically be updated when you write a blog post. (like this one)

There are two ways to go
RSS/newsfeed
You simply import the newsfeed. You go to your wall and click the settings button. There you can choose Blog/RSS and paste in your RSS newsfeed link.

The Notes application
You open the Notes application (from the bottom left menu) and then from the right sidebar you can find "Notes settings". There you can click a link called "Import a blog" and you paste in the feed url.

Some instructions for blogger.com users

Import your blog
Just copy your link at the bottom which is usually: "Subscribe to: Posts (Atom)" and paste that into Facebook.

What if you only want some posts to be imported to Facebook?
Labels to the rescue
Fortunately blogger has newsfeeds for each label you have. You will have to figure out your label newsfeed. Read this to find out how: http://help.blogger.com/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=53336

What can you use the label newsfeed for?
You could for example use "facebook" as a label for posts that you want to be imported to facebook. So you can keep facebook optionally updated.

So now you can reach a larger audience and keep your friends updated.
